This loafer runs wide. Select 1/2 size down from your normal US dress shoe size if you have a medium width.

I love the comfort and look of this last. More of a blackish/brown than the product pictures suggest. I would give 5 stars if the suede was the color of the product photos
I bought the brown full grain thinking it would be a rich pecan color, but the shoes are very dark brown almost black. You can only tell they're brown when they're in the sun. They're comfortable though, so overall I'd recommend. Size 1/2 a size down as recommended.
I’ve owned various loafers from AE to DD and I’m pleasantly surprised by the Carmine loafers. This was my first pair of JE shoes so the price point seemed a bit high compared to other well known brands. But the fit and style were great right out of the box. I normally wear 9.5 in dress shoes and a 10 in sneakers and purchased the 9.5. The loafers are a perfect fit for my feet -a little roomy in the toe box, but tight around the upper foot to lock your foot in while walking. No heel slippage at all and very comfortable without having to stretch the leather over time to get a good fit. The sole is a very soft rubber so they feel like sneakers and the round toe box adds to the casual feel of the shoe. The leather upper is creasing beautifully and feels high-quality. Unfortunately, the Full Grain Black outsole is a dark brown and not a black. The pics appear to be an all black shoe so that was disappointing, but maybe it’s my eyes. There is also some slight squeaking with the interior leather lining that’ll take additional time to break in. Overall, due to the comfort, I decided to keep the shoes. I’ll probably use Angelus to paint the outsole black to match the upper more.
The construction and look are good for the price. The color is also as expected. They do however run a little large.
A few months in I really like them! They need a few wears to break in but they’re not uncomfortable and look great. I ended up getting my regular size, I tried sizing down half like it says but they were too small
