How do I know my size?

What type of construction do you use?

Our Foster Collection  is Blake constructed, a technique named after its inventor, Lyman Reed Blake dating back to 1858. Blake construction is a very popular construction method used to produce many of the world’s finest men’s dress shoes. The process entails mounting the upper to the sole using a "right through" stitch which directly connects the sole to the upper and the insole – offering improved flexibility, a short break-in time, and a sleek look.

Our Sullivan Collection  is constructed using the Goodyear welting process. Goodyear construction is prized by shoe aficianados the world over due to its intensive process of attaching the upper to the outsole. During this process, the leather upper is shaped over the last and fastened to the inner sole via a material strip known as a welt. The welt forms a cavity, which is then filled with a cork material. The outsole is then stitched directly to the Welt. The whole process is done by hand and offers serious durability with a hearty, substantial look.

What are some tips for maintenance and care?

Shoe Horn:  Shoe horns are always recommended as they help to preserve the back counter and overall structure of your shoe.

Shoe Trees:  Shoe trees should be inserted after each wear. A good wooden shoe tree will reduce moisture and maintain the condition and shape of your shoe for years to come.

Polishing:  Shoes should be conditioned and polished on a regular basis to keep the leather supple and well moisturized.

Resoling:  All Jack Erwin shoes (with the exception of the Cooper Boat Shoe and Parker Driving Loafer) can be resoled. We suggest finding a good cobbler and sticking with him/her.

Orders

How long will it take to get my Jack Erwins?

All orders will be shipped free via FedEx SmartPost and should be at your door within 7-10 business days after they’ve shipped.

What is your return policy?

Return Policy

If you are not 100% happy with your order, we will accept returns for a full refund, so long as:

  • Your return is unused and unaltered with all original shoe box contents and packaging
  • Your return is sent back within 30 days of the original order date

We will not accept any worn or damaged items. Examples of products that we will not provide a refund for include products with creases, scratches, or scuffed outsoles.

Gift cards and expedited shipping charges are non-refundable.


Return Process

For items that meet our return policy, return shipping is always free. Please contact us at returns@jackerwin.com to receive a return label. We will respond to return requests as quickly as possible.

Once we receive and inspect your returned items, we will refund your original method of payment and you will receive a notification email. Please allow 5-10 days for your return to reach our warehouse and another 3-5 days for your return to be processed.

If your return does not meet our policy, you will be notified by our team.

What happens when you sell out?

Each shoe is handmade in small batches. Our factories are hard at work reproducing current styles and creating new products.

We will keep you updated via email regarding back orders and new product offerings.

What is your exchange process?

Exchange Process

If you would like to exchange your shoes for a different size or style, please contact us at returns@jackerwin.com. Our team will be happy to send you an exchange once your original pair has been returned and inspected. Please allow 5-10 days for your return to reach our warehouse and another 3-5 days for your exchange to be processed at which point you will be notified.

If you would like to receive your new pair more quickly, please go ahead and place a new order through our website and we will refund your original purchase in accordance with our return policy.

I live outside the United States. Can I still get a pair of Jack Erwins?

We do not currently ship outside of the 48 contiguous states but will let you know as soon as we expand our reach.
