The 24 Hour Guide to The Berkshires

OOO for our Graphic Designer, Alex, meant touring The Berkshires with close friends. Check out his favorite places to eat, drink and explore if you only have 24 hours to visit.

Breakfast at Haven Bakery & Cafe

The only way to start the day. This small eatery prides itself on farm-to-table staples and some of the best coffee in the mountains. Can't miss!

Hike Steven's Glen

At just under a two mile round trip, this hike strikes the balance between an "active" and "jeans friendly" outing. Don't let the short distance fool you though, the trail offers some of the region's most impressive sights - including views of the Lenox Mountain Brook and, if you're lucky, a glimpse of a Red Tailed Hawk.

Lunch at The Bistro Box

The Bistro Box is a lively, outdoor "drive-in-style" lunch spot that's truly got something for everyone. Set between two pines, this roadside eatery combines the laid back energy of summertime lounging with the high-end quality of fine dining. No trip to The Berkshires is complete without a stop at The Box.

Explore The Mount

The home and gardens of one of the region's most famous figures, Edith Wharton, are an absolute must. Whether exploring her incredible library or getting lost in her extensive gardens, a trip to The Mount won't disappoint.

Sunset Drinks and Dinner at Mezze

When the sun starts to set, an outdoor table at Mezze is the where you want to be. This bistro-style restaurant prides itself in using almost entirely locally-sourced ingredients that truly take farm-to-table dining to a new level.

Night Cap Drinks at The Old Inn On The Green

Nestled in the village of New Marlborough, The Old Inn On The Green is surrounded by rolling fields and meadows. The Old Inn, once a stagecoach relay, has been authentically restored in a way that will transport you back 300 years, yet leaves no luxury behind.
